We as a band shopped around a bit before we decided on a company to go with, and through research we found that it is next to impossible to find a company that will handle, ship, monitor your stock, process sales, send you a check, or do anything else merch related for a lower cost than what MerchSquad is capable of doing it for. That is important when you are trying to sell al lot of merch. If you are being charged a ton of fees, your profit margin goes WAY down. That is not the case at all with MerchSquad.
Keeping tabs on what's sold, how much merch is left, what is selling the best, etc. is absolutely critical to operating an effective online merch store. Also, knowing history, what is owed to you to take into account for financial purposes. The backend of your store is set up to give a detailed account of 99% of any merch related question you will ever have. You can log in online 24 hours a day and see how sales are going for the month, year, etc. And any other quantity or other merch related question is detailed there. It saves us a ton of time rather than sending e-mails and leaving voice mails for "some guy" at a company that never returns your calls. I don't know of any other companies that have this detailed of a backend.
Another thing that kicks ass is that when you sell items and are owed money and expecting a check, within a couple weeks of the billing cycle we always get our checks on time. We aren't waiting to pay people like our shirt guy making him mad and holding up printing more shirts to sell. We get the money, and business continues. Very streamlined.
The last major thing that sold us on using MerchSquad is the follow up, customer service, and fast response. If your shirts are out of order, mis-priced online, a new design hasn't been put up yet and you think it should have, colors look weird, your check is for a weird amount and you don't understand why, etc... They always call you back or return your e-mails within 48 hours or less. You don't have to go weeks pulling your hair out because it is the holidays and your sweet new Hoodie picture looks like online crap and they don't get back to you soon enough. We have never had a problem with them getting back to us promptly. And 99% of the time if you detail the problem in e-mail or on a voicemail, it is fixed before you can even check back with them about the status, without reminding them.
